Marjorie Leonard was born and educated in County Fermanagh. She
studied art at the University of Ulster, Belfast where she graduated
with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree.

Her early career was in Design and Illustration. Following her first
successful solo exhibition in 1998 she made painting her sole profession.
She is a member of the Ulster Watercolour Society and an exhibitor
with the Royal Ulster Academy. Her work is included in Art Collections
in Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, Germany, USA, United Kingdom and
the Republic of Ireland.
Marjorie is regarded as an accomplished Water colourist. She is primarily
a painter of the Irish rural landscape. Nature has always been her
main inspiration and the countryside of Fermanagh in particular, a
major influence in her work. Her paintings are defined by their essence
of light, colour and atmosphere.
Marjorie lives and works in her native county. Her Studio/Gallery
is located in The Buttermarket, a restored 19th Century Courtyard
in Enniskillen town centre.
